Infrastructure

The Virgin Gorda  airport now has an upgraded  runway suitable for aircraft (prop or turboprop) and provides scheduled service to St. Thomas and San Juan.  There is a full service marina with large lifts and a full service staff. There are also several marinas with slips to keep a large yacht.  Several well known resorts are on the island such as Little Dix Bay,  Biras CreekSaba Rock , Leverick Bay , and the Bitter End Yacht Club . Many excellent restaurants and smaller snack bars are on island.  Food stores are readily available as well as automobile garages, banks, and other services.

Several well known and many not so well known beaches are on Virgin Gorda, the best known is The Baths, which is a fabulous collection of very large house size boulders set into the sea and land.  These are all public and available to all.

The roads, which are well maintained, provide fabulous views as they go over the mountain know as Gorda Peak, which is a national park.  Gorda Peak is the backdrop to the waterfront of the South Sound Properties and makes for a beautiful view.
